Log in to your user account> click the profile button in the top right corner> next to your profile picture and name, select Edit Profile> scroll down and select the Temporarily disable my account link.

Select the reason why temporarily deleted or deactivated the account> re-enter the password> click on the button that says Temporarily Disable Account. To deactivate the account again, simply log in to the user account again.

2. How to delete Instagram account permanently

Meanwhile, to permanently delete an Instagram account, you still have to access the Instagram website which specifically deletes the account with the address

Then login to the account> select the reason you deleted the account> re-enter the password> select the red button that says Permanently delete my account. After that the Instagram account will disappear permanently.
