Instagram recently launched Reels, a competitor for the short video platform. First introduced in Brazil under the name Cenas, Instagram has finally launched a new feature called Reels for more than 50 countries. Reels itself is a video recording feature similar to TikTok where players can record and edit their own videos directly in one application.
Reels itself is not a new application from Facebook or Instagram, but is directly embedded in the Instagram Camera. Users can also edit the video with various effects starting from the video speed, filters and many more directly.
Later, these Reels videos can be embedded directly into Instagram Stories, feeds, or DMs directly. Even so, this feature has not been released in Indonesia, and is still being released for several countries including the US, UK, Japan, Australia and several other countries.
